Latest news and updates from the PAGES project

 Hello!

Ageism is a pervasive issue that affects all of us and many aspects of our lives. It is then crucial that we take action to address and eliminate this form of discrimination.

Ageism or stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination based on age, manifests in various ways, from overt actions like discriminatory hiring practices to subtle forms like ageist attitudes and stereotypes perpetuated in the media.
Ageism not only impacts the dignity and rights of people but also deprives society of the benefits of age diversity and experience.

We, the PAGES partners, hope that through our work and efforts to inspire you to join us in the fight against ageism.

KEY PROJECT DEVELOPMENTS

Engaging Older Adults In Learning: Empowering Educators for Change

Our efforts to design a comprehensive training course to support adult educators in their actions to motivate and engage older adults in learning are entering their final stages.
The training materials are now ready and can be accessed online, in English, Romanian, German, Dutch, Turkish and Portuguese.

InterAges: An intergenerational programme towards all ages

InterAGES is a resourceful intergenerational program designed to bring together young and older individuals through the use of creativity and cultural assets from the local community.
This innovative resource aims to foster meaningful interactions and mutual understanding between different age groups, encouraging them to collaborate on various artistic and cultural activities and to have a positive impact on reducing ageism.

To achieve this goal pilot sessions will be organised in all partner countries and will include:

  • Gamified & skill sharing  activities about arts & culture
  • Cultural and creative crafting activities
  • Storytelling activities
  • Sports and outdoor activities
  • Theatre, dance & music related activities

and more

Do you want to learn more about the benefits of intergenerational activities and learning? Take part in these activities or, if you are an organisation, collaborate with us in implementing them!
PAGES Service Model: Counteracting AGEism for an Inclusive Europe

Our third result, the PAGES Service Model, is also in development. This resource will detail and outline all the stages and various activities used in the intergenerational programme highlighting how it integrates with the local contexts of each country.
