đź””Get to know WorkAbility

Welcome to the WorkAbility Community!

WorkAbility is an Erasmus+ project that aims to increase participation in the labor market and improve the outcomes of adult education in the field of disability. WorkAbility wants to give people with disabilities the needed skills and tools to find and retain their own job – which means opportunities for self-development and empowerment towards the open labor market.
    EXPECTED RESULTS
The WorkAbility partnership envisions the creation of four major results:
  1. “People with changed working ability: mapping the way to get soft skills to find and retain a job place" – a Resource
  2. Job Platform’ specifications for soft skills self-assessment
  3. Soft Skills for employment – Course portfolio
  4. Guide to apply the Job Platform
THE PARTNERSHIP
The WorkAbility consortium is formed of six partners from five countries. We are:
Afeji (France) – Project coordinator
ASSOC (Romania)
 Aproximar (Portugal)
EaSI (Romania)
Hand in Hand Foundation (Hungary)
XENIOS POLIS (Greece)
OUR WORK SO FAR
Our second transnational project meeting took place in Lille, France, on the 7th of November 2022 and covered a wide range of topics related to the development of the project, such as: review on the implementation of the PR1, discussion of the next steps for PR2, dissemination activities and more.

We are adding the final touches to the first project result - “People with changed working ability: mapping soft skills to find and retain a job place – a Resource”. This document will serve as a valuable tool for all those who will need support in the labor market.

We have also begun work on the second result: “Job Platform specifications for soft skills self-assessment” - a crucial tool for increasing people with disabilities’ capacity for professional autonomy - and on the third result, a training course for social workers.

INSPIRING STORIES
As part of our first project result, we have collected a series of stories from people with changed work abilities  in order to understand their pathway, experiences and examples of the importance of selected soft skills and how they end up developing them.
